Can you put hardwood floors in a mobile home? I don’t mean just one room. I have a double wide and want to put hardwood THROUGH OUT. I am concerned about shifting and getting messed up especially around the center where the two halves meet or will it stay once it’s in. I know Lowe’s and Home Depot will not install in a mobile. I called one company a few weeks ago and they said they could install it, but when i asked if it could be through out without any problems they said they would call me back after they talked to their supervisor and i never heard back.
I am concerned with the shifting so much because we are near an airforce base and there are several sonic booms a day and it feels like small earthquakes. Also, as I said it will be THROUGHOUT, so yes, this will include the kitchen and bathrooms.

How much would it cost to convert a bedroom in a mobile home to a bathroom?

My aunt is wanting me to move in w/ her into her 3/1 double wide mobile home. She wants to convert one of the bedrooms to a bathroom. The place is at least 14yrs old. It would be a full bathroom. I’m thinking at least a few thousand. (Not worth it!!)

I am putting in a small 12′x60′ mobile home on the new property I just bought, to use as an office for my farm. Would I need to put a cement pad in for the home to sit on? Would it need to be the complete size of the mobile home i.e 12×60 or could I use smaller pads just where the wheels are going to sit?

I need to make a mobile (the kind you hang) for a project. How and what things could I use to make it?

Its a weird project. I have to make a mobile (structure that is hung so it can flow freely) for a science project, based on a food chain believe it or not, so animals have to be the things that hang off it. I have no idea how I’m going to make it though or what I’m going to use to make it. But it really has to be made out of cereal boxes etc. Please help!

how much weight of an item can a mobile home floor hold without issues?

Desiree M asked:
I have certain things I want to put into a mobile home but am unsure how much weight a floor can hold without sagging/bowing/damage to it. I have a piano, 35 gallon fish tank, solid wood bunk bed set, and a 60 inch TV (looks like a projection but is HDTV). Should the floor hold these without creating a problem? Or do I need lighter stuff?

Can you build an additional removable (if needed) room on to a mobile home in a mobile home park?

We live in a mobile home (trailer house) that was built in 1968. The dimentions are 12X60 with two doors on one side. It already has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Is it possible to add on a room to what is now the back door and since it is indeed a mobile home in a mobile home park(on a rented lot) it cannot be permanent. Is there any way to make it removable if needed, but still viable as a bedroom. How would you go about doing this if it is possible at all? Can you kind of make a lean to maybe? Does anyone have any advice? Thanks a lot.

What are some ways to rennovate a park model mobile home?

I just moved into a mobile home (a park model), and it includes a Florida room. What are some ideas for improving the appearance of the place and for improving the comfort of living here? I’m looking for interesting and creative ideas that are also practical. It’d be nice to have something unique.
